Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 cup carrots, sliced
  • 1 cup celery, sliced
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 2 cups cooked egg noodles
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Brown the ground beef and onion over medium heat until the beef is cooked through. Drain the excess fat.
  3. Add the carrots, celery, and peas to the skillet and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  4. Combine the cooked beef and vegetable mixture with the egg noodles, cream of mushroom soup, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Mix gently.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased casserole dish and top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Notes

For a deeper browned top, place under the broiler for 1 to 2 minutes at the end, watching carefully.
