Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups diced apples
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
  • 2 cans Pillsbury crescent roll dough
  • Cooking spray
  • Optional toppings: whipped cream, vanilla ice cream, extra caramel

Instructions

  1. Peel, core, and dice your apples into small pieces.
  2. In a large bowl, combine diced apples, cinnamon, nutmeg, and half of the caramel sauce. Toss until well coated.
  3. Roll out the crescent roll dough, separating each triangle.
  4. Place a generous tablespoon of the apple mixture at the wide end of each triangle. Fold the dough over the apples and pinch to seal.
  5. Spray the slow cooker with cooking spray. Arrange the bombs in a single layer, pouring the remaining caramel sauce over the top. Cook on low for 120-180 minutes or until the dough is golden and the apples are tender.
  6. Carefully remove the bombs from the slow cooker and serve with your favorite toppings.

Notes

Use a mix of Granny Smith and Fuji or Honeycrisp apples for best flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
