Ingredients

Scale
  • 1012 ready-made taco shells (hard or soft)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar (or more to taste)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 cups apples, peeled, cored, and diced (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp butter (for cooking apples)
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg (optional)
  • Caramel sauce (for drizzling, optional)
  • Whipped cream (for serving, optional)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, beat softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy. Set aside.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add diced apples, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Sauté for about 5–7 minutes or until the apples are tender and caramelized. Remove from heat.
  3. Take a taco shell, fill it with the cream cheese mixture, and top with the caramelized apples.
  4. If desired, drizzle some caramel sauce over the top for added sweetness.
  5. Garnish with whipped cream if desired, and enjoy immediately!

Notes

For extra flavor, swap cream cheese with mascarpone. Store components separately for best results.
