Ingredients

  • 4 cups apples (fresh, canned, or frozen)
  • 1 box cake mix (vanilla or spice)
  • 1 stick unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Optional: ยฝ cup nuts (walnuts or pecans)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC).
  2. Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  3. If using fresh apples, peel, core, and slice into bite-sized pieces. Spread evenly in the baking dish.
  4. Sprinkle cinnamon and sugar over the apples and toss lightly.
  5. Pour dry cake mix over the apples and drizzle with melted butter. If using nuts, sprinkle them on top.
  6. Bake for 40-50 minutes until the top is golden brown and the apples are bubbly.
