Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon dark rum (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 package pre-made pie dough
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer or oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the sliced bananas, brown sugar, rum, and cinnamon. Cook for about 2-3 minutes until bananas are soft and caramelized. Set aside to cool slightly.
  3. On a floured surface, roll out the pie dough and cut it into circles (about 4 to 5 inches in diameter).
  4. Place a tablespoon of the banana filling in the center of half of the dough circles.
  5. Fold the dough over the filling, pressing the edges to seal. Use a fork to crimp the edges for extra security. Brush the tops with egg wash.
  6. Place the hand pies in the air fryer basket or on a baking sheet. Cook for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Let the pies cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm!
