Ingredients

  • 1 box butter pecan cake mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • Optional frosting (buttercream or cream cheese)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and water. Mix until well blended.
  3. Gently fold in the chopped pecans until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  4. Pour the batter into the lined muffin tin, filling each liner about 2/3 full.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Let the cupcakes cool in the tin for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  7. Once completely cool, top with your favorite frosting and enjoy!

Notes
