Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the yellow cake mix, eggs, water, and melted butter. Whisk until smooth, about 2 minutes.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  4. Allow the cake to cool for 10 minutes, then poke holes in the surface.
  5. In a medium bowl, mix the sweetened condensed milk and caramel sauce until smooth, then pour over the warm cake.
  6. Chill the cake in the fridge for at least 1 hour.
  7. Before serving, top with chopped pecans and additional caramel sauce. Slice and enjoy!

Notes

Ensure to poke holes gently to avoid a soggy texture. Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator to maintain freshness.
