Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips (or milk chocolate for a creamier taste)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped pecans (toasted, if preferred)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (for candied pecans)
  • ½ cup water (for candied pecans)
  • 1 pinch salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Slow Cooker: Grease the inside of your slow cooker with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  2. Make the Fudge Mixture: In the slow cooker, combine sweetened condensed milk, chocolate chips, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir until combined.
  3. Melt the Mixture: Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 120 minutes, stirring every 30 minutes until the mixture is smooth and well blended.
  4. Candy the Pecans: In a saucepan, combine granulated sugar and water over medium heat. Stir until the sugar dissolves. Add the chopped pecans and simmer for 5-7 minutes until they’re coated and caramelized. Remove from heat and let cool.
  5. Combine Fudge and Pecans: Once the fudge is melted, stir in the candied pecans until evenly distributed.
  6. Chill the Fudge: Spread the mixture evenly into a greased 9×9 inch pan or silicone mold, and refrigerate for at least 120 minutes or until firm.
  7. Slice and Serve: Once set, slice into squares and enjoy your deliciously rich Candied Pecan Fudge!
