Ingredients

  • 1 package of frozen puff pastry (2 sheets)
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg (beaten)
  • Optional toppings: Fresh fruits, powdered sugar, or icing

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Roll out the thawed puff pastry sheets into rectangles about 1/8 inch thick.
  4. Cut the pastry into squares or rectangles (around 4×4 inches).
  5. Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each pastry piece.
  6. Fold the corners toward the center or leave them open-faced.
  7. Brush the tops with the beaten egg.
  8. Bake on a parchment-lined baking sheet for about 25–30 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

Keep pastries in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven for the best texture.
