Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (Cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • Optional add-ins: chopped veggies or cooked meats

Instructions

  1. Preheat your appliance: If using an air fryer, preheat at 350°F. For a crockpot, set it on high.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk until well combined.
  3. Stir in the flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  4. Add the shredded cheese and any optional add-ins you like.
  5. If using an air fryer, transfer the batter to a greased baking dish. For a crockpot, pour the batter directly into the greased insert.
  6. Cook in the air fryer for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed, or in the crockpot on high for 2-3 hours, checking for doneness.
  7. Let the puffs cool for a few minutes before slicing into wedges and serving warm.

Notes

Serve with fresh fruit, breakfast potatoes, greens salad, or beverages like coffee or tea.
