Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz bowtie pasta
  • 2 cups cooked, shredded chicken
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley or basil, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add bowtie pasta and cook until al dente according to package directions. Reserve about 1/2 cup pasta cooking water, then drain the pasta.
  2. While the pasta cooks, shred the cooked chicken and mince the garlic. Measure the cheeses and cream.
  3. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the butter and melt gently. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and stir to combine. Bring to a gentle simmer.
  5. Add the mozzarella and Parmesan, stirring until melted into a smooth sauce. Season with salt and pepper. If too thick, add reserved pasta water.
  6. Add the drained pasta and shredded chicken to the skillet. Toss until evenly coated and heated through.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley or basil before serving.
  8. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

For an extra golden top, transfer to a baking dish and broil with extra mozzarella for a few minutes.
