Ingredients

  • 1 cup pecans, finely chopped (or walnuts)
  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup whipped topping
  • 1 can cherry pie filling (or fresh cherries, pitted and sliced)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the chopped pecans, graham cracker crumbs, and melted butter until combined. Press firmly into the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add in the powdered sugar and vanilla extract until well combined.
  3. Gently fold the whipped topping into the cheesecake mixture until smooth and light.
  4. Spread the cheesecake mixture evenly over the crust. Add a layer of cherry pie filling on top, smoothing it out evenly.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for the best flavor and texture.
  6. Cut into squares and enjoy this delightful treat!
