  • 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar

  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp almond extract (optional)

  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar for dipping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together the softened butter and 1 1/4 cups of granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract (if using) and mix until well combined.
  4. Gradually add the all-purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt, mixing until just combined.
  5. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and coat them in the remaining 1/4 cup of granulated sugar.
  6. Place the sugar-coated dough balls on the prepared baking sheet, spaced 2 inches apart.
