  • 1 lb beef (flank steak or sirloin)
  • 2 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger, minced
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil (for cooking)

Instructions

  1. Thinly slice the beef against the grain into strips and chop the broccoli into small florets. Marinate the beef in a mixture of soy sauce and cornstarch.
  2. Blanch the broccoli in boiling water for 2-3 minutes until bright green and crisp.
  3. Heat a skillet or wok on medium-high heat with oil until shimmering.
  4. Add the marinated beef to the pan in a single layer, cooking for about 2-3 minutes without stirring.
  5. Add the minced garlic and ginger, sautéing for an additional minute until fragrant.
  6. Mix in the blanched broccoli, oyster sauce, and a splash of water, stir-frying for 2-3 minutes until the broccoli is tender and the sauce thickens.
  7. Serve over rice or noodles.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to three days. Reheat in a skillet for best results.
