Ingredients

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup water
  • Whipped cream or ice cream (optional, for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with non-stick spray or butter.
  3. Pour the chocolate cake mix evenly into the greased baking dish.
  4. Drizzle the caramel sauce evenly over the cake mix.
  5. Sprinkle chocolate chips over the caramel layer.
  6. Melt the butter and pour it over everything, then add the cup of water.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes until the top is set and gooey underneath.
  8. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
