Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Unsalted Butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 3/4 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 2 cups Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and creamy.
  4. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until fully combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing on low speed until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips with a spatula.
  7. Drop rounded balls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.

Notes

For a unique twist, try adding nuts or different types of chocolate chips.
