Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, blend melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Gently mix in cocoa powder and flour until just combined.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips for gooey pockets of chocolate.
  6. Pour the brownie batter into a lined 8×8-inch baking pan and bake for 20-25 minutes.
  7. While the brownies cool, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form, then fold in melted semisweet chocolate.
  8. Top cooled brownies with the mousse and serve.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. Avoid overbaking for the perfect fudgy texture.
