Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark, your choice)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your slow cooker by greasing the inside with cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time and add the vanilla extract.
  3. In another bowl, mix together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this mixture to the wet ingredients until combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  4. Scoop out dough balls using a tablespoon and roll them into small balls. Place them into the slow cooker, leaving enough space for spreading.
  5. Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 2-3 hours. Check for doneness with a toothpick.
  6. Once cooked, remove the cookies and let them cool on a wire rack.
  7. Enjoy the cookies as they are or add your favorite toppings!
