Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • ½ cup crushed holiday candies (like candy canes or M&Ms)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  3. In a mixing bowl, cream together the unsalted butter and brown sugar until fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until fully combined.
  5. Gradually add the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt, mixing until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Scoop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving space between each.
