Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cans sliced peaches in syrup, 15 ounces each
  • 1 box yellow cake mix, 15.25 ounces
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans, optional

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Pour the peaches with their syrup into the prepared baking dish and spread them evenly across the bottom.
  3. Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the peaches, covering the fruit with a uniform layer.
  4. Sprinkle the cinnamon over the cake mix, distributing it evenly.
  5. Drizzle the melted butter all over the top so it soaks into the dry cake mix.
  6. Sprinkle the chopped pecans on top if using.
  7. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes, until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
  8. Let the cake cool for 10 minutes before serving. Serve warm, plain or with ice cream.

Notes

Use full syrup from canned peaches for juicier filling or drain slightly for firmer slices. Rotate the pan halfway through baking to prevent uneven browning.
