Ingredients

  • 1 cup (200g) brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease an 8×8 inch baking dish with butter or line it with parchment paper.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth and glossy.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir gently until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish, smoothing the top with a spatula.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until edges are light golden and a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool for 10 minutes before cutting into squares.
