Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 4 burger buns
  • 4 slices cheese (cheddar, American, or blue cheese)
  • Lettuce, tomato, and onion (for topping)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, gently combine the ground beef, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika until just blended.
  2. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each.
  3. Preheat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat and add a drizzle of oil.
  4. Place the patties on the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until a brown crust forms.
  5. During the last minute of cooking, add a slice of cheese on each patty and cover with a lid to melt.
  6. Toast the burger buns cut-side down in the skillet for about 1-2 minutes until golden.
  7. Assemble your burger with the patty, toppings, and sauces, and serve warm.
