Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries
  • Zest of 1 large orange

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix the melted butter, milk, and egg until smooth.
  4. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. Fold in the cranberries and orange zest.
  6. Grease a 9×9 inch baking pan or line with parchment paper and pour the batter into the pan.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  8. Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
