Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 8 ounces shell pasta
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the shell pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and cook until browned, about 6-8 minutes. Drain excess fat, if necessary, and stir in the garlic powder, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  3. Pour in the beef broth and bring to a simmer. Gradually stir in the heavy cream until well combined.
  4. Add the shredded cheddar cheese, stirring until melted and combined.
  5. Gently fold the cooked pasta into the beef and cheese mixture, adding reserved pasta water if needed to adjust the sauce consistency.
  6. Let sit for a couple of minutes to meld the flavors before serving.
  7. Garnish with additional cheese or fresh herbs if desired, and enjoy while hot!
