Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 frozen pierogi (potato and cheese, or any favorite variety)
  • 1 lb Kielbasa (sliced)
  • 1 cup onions (diced)
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar, or your choice)
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Crockpot: Spray your crockpot with non-stick cooking spray for easy cleanup.
  2. Layer the Ingredients: Spread half of the frozen pierogi at the bottom of the crockpot, followed by half of the sliced kielbasa and half of the diced onions.
  3. Add Cheese and Sauce: Sprinkle a layer of cheese over this combination. In a separate bowl, whisk together cream of mushroom soup and sour cream, then spread half of this mixture over the cheese layer.
  4. Repeat the Layers: Create another layer of the remaining pierogi, kielbasa, onions, and top with the remaining cheese and soup mixture.
  5. Slow Cook: Cover and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours, until the pierogi are tender and the edges are bubbly.
  6. Final Touches: Before serving, give everything a gentle stir to blend the flavors and allow it to cool for a few minutes. This helps everything firm up nicely for serving.
  7. Serve and Enjoy: Dish out generous portions and watch as family and friends gather around the table, drawn in by the irresistible aroma.

Notes
