Ingredients

  • 3 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/3 cup Sugar
  • 2½ teaspoons Active Dry Yeast
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1/2 cup Butter, melted
  • 2 teaspoons Cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup Brown Sugar

Instructions

  1. Mix warm milk with active dry yeast in a small bowl and let sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a larger bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt. Make a well and add the yeast mixture and egg. Mix and add melted butter, kneading until smooth.
  3. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour until doubled.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix cinnamon and brown sugar for the filling.
  5. Roll the dough into a rectangle, brush with butter, and sprinkle the cinnamon mixture. Roll into a log and slice into 12 pieces.
  6. Place pieces in a greased muffin tin and let rise for another 20-30 minutes.
  7. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

Serve warm, optionally drizzled with icing or paired with coffee or tea.
