Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 1/3 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Prepare your 8-inch square baking dish by lining it with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat, then stir in the heavy cream until well combined and bubbly.
  3. Gradually add the granulated sugar, stirring continuously until it dissolves and the mixture turns golden.
  4. Bring the mixture to a rolling boil, stirring constantly for about 5 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and mix in the chopped pecans and vanilla extract.
  6. Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  7. Cool at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours until set.
  8. Lift the fudge out using the parchment paper and cut into squares to serve.

Notes

Store in an airtight container between layers of parchment paper. Can be refrigerated for up to two weeks.
