Ingredients

  • 1 box vanilla cake mix
  • 2 cups eggnog
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 cup whipped topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your baking dish.
  2. Combine the vanilla cake mix and eggnog in a large bowl until smooth.
  3. Pour the batter into the greased baking dish and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  4. After cooling for 10 minutes, poke holes into the cake with a wooden spoon handle.
  5. Whisk together milk and remaining eggnog, then pour over the poked cake.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow filling to soak in.
  7. Top with whipped topping and sprinkle with nutmeg before serving.

Notes

For best results, allow the cake to cool completely before adding the filling. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to four days.
