Ingredients

Scale
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter
  • Optional: chocolate chips, chopped nuts, or caramel

Instructions

  1. Prepare the slow cooker: Grease the slow cooker insert with cooking spray or line it with parchment paper for easier removal.
  2. Mix the wet ingredients: In a mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter and sugar until combined. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing well.
  3. Combine dry ingredients: In another bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Combine wet and dry: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Avoid overmixing for fudgy texture.
  5. Add peanut butter: Drop spoonfuls of the peanut butter onto the brownie batter, then use a knife or skewer to create swirls.
  6. Cook: Pour the batter into the slow cooker and cover. Cook on low for about 120 to 150 minutes. Check for doneness with a toothpick; it should come out with a few moist crumbs.
  7. Cool and serve: Once done, let the brownies cool for at least 30 minutes before cutting. Serve with your favorite toppings!
