Ingredients

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts, trimmed
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Fresh parsley, optional for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken: Pat the chicken breasts dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Sear the Chicken: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the chicken for 5 to 7 minutes on each side until golden and cooked through.
  3. Set the chicken aside: Remove the cooked chicken and keep warm under foil.
  4. Make the Garlic Butter Sauce: In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium, add butter and minced garlic, and sauté until fragrant.
  5. Combine and Serve: Return chicken to the skillet, spoon the sauce over, and cook for another 2 minutes.
  6. Garnish and Enjoy: Transfer to plates, top with remaining sauce and fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

Use room temperature chicken for even cooking. Do not overcrowd the pan to achieve a proper sear.
