Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley (or fresh, chopped)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Lemon wedges, for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chicken. Cut the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces and pat them dry with paper towels.
  2. Season the chicken. In a bowl, toss the chicken pieces with the salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.
  3. Melt the butter. Place a large skillet over medium heat and add the butter. Let it melt and foam slightly.
  4. Add the garlic. Once the butter is melted, add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 30 seconds.
  5. Add the chicken to the skillet. Place the seasoned chicken pieces in a single layer in the skillet and cook without stirring for 5 to 7 minutes.
  6. Stir and continue cooking. After searing, stir the chicken pieces and continue cooking for another 5 to 7 minutes.
  7. Add the parsley. When the chicken is cooked through, sprinkle the parsley over the top.
  8. Check doneness. Use a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  9. Finish and serve. Remove from heat and serve with lemon wedges if desired.
