Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound Boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 3 tablespoons Butter
  • 4 cloves Fresh minced garlic
  • 8 ounces Bowtie pasta
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Prepare the pasta. Bring a large pot of boiling water to a rolling boil, add the bowtie pasta, and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving a small splash of pasta water if needed.
  2. Prepare the chicken. Pat the chicken breasts dry and slice them in half horizontally or pound to even thickness for quick cooking.
  3. Melt the butter. In a large skillet, add the butter and let it melt, swirling the pan to coat the bottom.
  4. Cook the chicken. Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and cook until golden and cooked through, about 5 to 7 minutes per side. Transfer to a plate and tent loosely.
  5. Add the garlic. Reduce heat to low, add the minced garlic to the butter in the pan, and cook for 30 to 60 seconds until fragrant.
  6. Combine pasta and chicken. Return the chicken to the skillet or slice it and add it to the drained pasta. Toss gently to coat with butter and garlic. Add reserved pasta water if needed.
  7. Finish with Parmesan. Remove from heat and grate the Parmesan cheese over the top, tossing to combine.
  8. Serve warm. Plate the pasta and chicken immediately for a comforting meal.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently to maintain the butter sauce’s smoothness.
