Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tablespoons gelatin powder
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1/2 cup hot water
  • Sweetener (optional)
  • Flavoring (optional)

Instructions

  1. Gather Ingredients: Start by collecting 1 cup of cold water, 2 tablespoons of gelatin powder, and any sweeteners or flavorings you’d like to use.
  2. Bloom the Gelatin: Sprinkle the gelatin powder over 1/2 cup of cold water. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until it absorbs the water and thickens.
  3. Dissolve: Heat the remaining 1/2 cup of water in a saucepan until it’s hot, but not boiling. Once heated, add the bloomed gelatin and stir well until completely dissolved.
  4. Add Flavor and Sweetener: Incorporate your chosen flavorings and sweeteners into the gelatin mixture. Stir until everything is well combined.
  5. Pour into Molds: Carefully pour the mixture into silicone molds or a shallow dish to set. If using a dish, you can cut the gelatin into cubes later.
  6. Chill: Place the molds in the refrigerator for at least 120 minutes, until the gelatin is firm to the touch.
  7. Enjoy: Once set, gently remove the cubes from the molds or cut them into square pieces if using a dish. Enjoy them cold for a refreshing treat!

Notes

Experiment with different flavors and sweeteners for variety. Make sure to store in an airtight container in the fridge.
