Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 medium apples (peeled and diced; Granny Smith works great!)
  • 1 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
  • 16 ounces refrigerated biscuit dough
  • Cooking spray
  • Optional toppings: whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for serving

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Apples: Peel and dice the apples into small pieces. Place them in a mixing bowl and toss with cinnamon and nutmeg.
  2. Add Caramel: Pour in the caramel sauce and gently mix until the apples are well-coated. Set aside.
  3. Prepare the Dough: Open the biscuit dough and separate the biscuits. Flatten each one slightly with your hands.
  4. Fill the Dough: Spoon a tablespoon of the apple and caramel mixture onto the center of each biscuit.
  5. Seal the Bombs: Gently fold the dough over the filling, pinching it shut to create a ball. Make sure it’s sealed well.
  6. Arrange in Slow Cooker: Spray the inside of the slow cooker with cooking spray. Place the bombs in a single layer, leaving a little space between each.
  7. Cook: Cover and cook on low for 120-180 minutes or until they are golden and gooey.

Notes

Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for an indulgent treat. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
