Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup melted unsalted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup strong brewed coffee
  • ½ cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch square baking pan or slow cooker.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Whisk together.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix melted butter, eggs, and brewed coffee until combined.
  4. Pour wet ingredients into dry mixture and fold gently until just combined.
  5. Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan and drizzle half of the caramel sauce over it.
  6. Top with remaining batter and drizzle with remaining caramel sauce.
  7. Bake for 35-40 minutes until edges are golden and a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
  8. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for a delightful treat. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
