Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 chicken thighs (bone-in, skin-on)
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat dry the chicken thighs and season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the chicken thighs skin-side down for 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
  4. In a mixing bowl, melt the remaining butter and mix in honey.
  5. Turn the chicken over, pour the honey butter sauce on top, and transfer the skillet to the oven. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  6. For a caramelized finish, turn on the broiler for an additional 2-3 minutes, watching closely.
  7. Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For a spicy kick, add cayenne pepper to the honey butter sauce. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
