Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¾ cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup pizza sauce
  • Toppings of your choice (pepperoni, bell peppers, olives, etc.)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease your muffin tins.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat together the milk and egg, then stir in the pizza sauce.
  4. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir gently until combined.
  5. Fold in the shredded mozzarella and any additional toppings.
  6. Spoon the batter into muffin cups, filling them about ¾ full.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Allow muffins to cool for a few minutes before serving warm.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days or freeze for up to three months.
