Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef (or turkey)
  • 2 cups macaroni pasta
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the macaroni pasta in boiling salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef (or turkey), breadcrumbs, egg, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until incorporated.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix shredded cheese and milk to create a cheesy sauce.
  5. In a large baking dish, layer half of the macaroni, followed by the meat mixture, then top with the remaining macaroni. Pour the cheese sauce evenly on top.
  6. Bake for about 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until the meatloaf reaches an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).
  7. Let the casserole cool for about 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Feel free to substitute ground beef with chicken or plant-based alternatives. Add a dash of hot sauce for extra flavor!
