Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add the egg, maple syrup, and vanilla extract, mixing until fully incorporated.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture, mixing on low speed until just combined.
  5. Scoop the dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing 2 inches apart.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden.
  7. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes
