Ingredients

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine softened butter and peanut butter. Beat until smooth and creamy, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Gradually mix in granulated sugar and brown sugar, beating until light and fluffy, approximately 3-4 minutes.
  4. Add the egg and vanilla extract, continuing to beat until well combined.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and baking powder. Gradually fold this into the wet ingredients.
  6. Gently fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  7. Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week. Reheat in microwave for 10-15 seconds for a fresh taste.
