Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, powdered sugar, and salt. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom of an 8×8-inch baking dish.
  4. Bake the crust for about 15 minutes until slightly golden.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together corn syrup, granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
  6. Stir in chopped pecans until evenly distributed.
  7. Pour the pecan filling over the baked crust.
  8. Bake for an additional 30-35 minutes until the filling is set and slightly bubbly.
