Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  3. In a bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and chopped pecans.
  4. In a separate large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  5. Beat in the eggs one at a time followed by the vanilla extract.
  6. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  7. Divide the batter among the muffin cups, filling each about two-thirds full.
  8. Bake for 18-20 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. While the cupcakes cool, prepare the frosting by creaming together butter, powdered sugar, brown sugar, and milk.
