Ingredients

  • No-boil Lasagna Noodles
  • 15 ounces Ricotta Cheese
  • 1 Egg
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • Fresh or Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • Pesto Sauce
  • Parmesan Cheese
  • Fresh Basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, combine ricotta cheese, egg, and a pinch of salt and pepper; mix until smooth.
  3. Spread a layer of pesto sauce in a baking dish.
  4. Layer three noodles, followed by one-third of the ricotta mixture, mozzarella, and more pesto.
  5. Repeat the layering process, finishing with noodles topped with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until golden.
  7. Let the lasagna rest for about 10 minutes before slicing and serving with fresh basil.

Notes

For added flavor, consider incorporating sautéed vegetables or meat into the layers.
