  • 1 cup corn cereal (like Cornflakes)
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. If using a slow cooker, grease the sides lightly. If using an air fryer, set it to 300°F (150°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine the nuts and corn cereal.
  3. In a saucepan, melt the butter and brown sugar over medium heat, stirring until fully combined and bubbling gently.
  4. Remove from heat and mix in the vanilla extract and a pinch of sea salt.
  5. Pour the caramel mixture over the nut and cereal blend, stirring until everything is evenly coated.
  6. For the slow cooker: Pour the mixture into the greased pot and cook on low for 2-3 hours, stirring every 30 minutes. For the air fryer: Spread the mixture evenly in the basket and cook for about 15-20 minutes, stirring halfway.
  7. Once cooked, let it cool completely before breaking it into pieces and storing in an airtight container.
