  • Optional: 1/2 cup chocolate chips or nuts (such as walnuts)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, granulated sugar, brown sugar, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, pumpkin pie spice, and salt.
  4. Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined. If desired, fold in chocolate chips or nuts.
  5. Spread the brownie batter evenly in the prepared baking pan.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
