Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter (1 1/2 sticks)
  • Two 10-ounce bags mini marshmallows (total of 20 ounces)
  • 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 9 cups crispy rice cereal

Instructions

  1. Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper and lightly grease it.
  2. In a large pot, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat.
  3. Once the butter is melted, add the mini marshmallows and stir until completely melted.
  4. Remove the pot from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt.
  5. Fold in the crispy rice cereal, mixing until all the cereal is evenly coated.
  6. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking pan and gently spread it out.
  7. Allow the treats to set at room temperature for at least 1 hour.
  8. Once set, lift the treats out of the pan using the parchment paper, cut into squares, and store in an airtight container.

Notes

For clean cuts, use a sharp knife warmed in hot water and wiped dry between slices.
