Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Salted caramel sauce
  • 8 oz cream cheese, room temperature

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add in eggs one at a time, mixing well after each, then add vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix this into your wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. Fold in salted caramel into the dough.
  6. Scoop tablespoons of dough onto a lined baking sheet, making small indents in the center.
  7. Beat cream cheese until smooth and place a teaspoonful into the center of each dough mound.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are light golden brown and centers are soft.

Notes

Use room temperature ingredients for the best texture. Adjust flour if the dough is too sticky.
