Ingredients

  • 3 cups granulated sugar
  • 6 large eggs
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 5–7 minutes.
  3. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing gently.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased bundt or loaf pan.
  6. Bake for 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 20 minutes before inverting onto a serving plate.
