Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar (or brown sugar for a deeper flavor)
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ cup melted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. Grease the inside of your slow cooker with butter or cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the milk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla (if using).
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Gently fold in the chopped pecans.
  5. Pour the mixture into the greased slow cooker and cook on low for 2 to 3 hours, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
