  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

  • ¼ cup cold butter (cut into small pieces)

  • ½ cup softened butter (for butter mixture)
  • ¼ cup mashed sweet potato (for butter mixture)
  • 2 tablespoons honey (for butter mixture)
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon (for butter mixture)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add the cold butter pieces to the flour mixture and mix until crumbly.
  4. Fold in the mashed sweet potatoes and milk until a soft dough forms.
  5. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and gently knead a few times, then roll or pat out to about ½ inch thickness.
  6. Cut into circles using a biscuit cutter.
  7. Place biscuits on a lined baking sheet and bake for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. In a small bowl, mix softened butter, sweet potato, honey, and cinnamon until smooth and creamy.
